Rent, park and return

Defects can easily be reported via the support function in our app. Please check the bike for obvious defects before starting your journey or before renting it and inform us of any damage so that the bikes can be locked and repaired as quickly as possible. If you went off with a bike and only then notice a defect, end your ride and call our service. Only then can we cancel the ride and register the bike for repair.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund any fees if you have continued using the bike despite obvious defects.

Please report failed returns immediately to our customer service via app support or the hotline and have the bike number, the parking location and the actual use time ready. Our customer service can be contacted via app under support or via the hotline stated in the footer of the system’s website.

Don’t worry about possible charges if our customer service can’t deal with your case right away. No charges apply as long as you tried to contact them right away.

You can find all MyRadl locations on the interactive map – in all three apps and on the website. There you can also see the area within which you are allowed to park your bike.

On site, a location might look like this:

Outside Munich: There is usually a pillar or a sign marking the mobility point. Sometimes there are also floor markings or bike racks – all of which show you where you are allowed to park.

In Munich: Here, MyRadl uses ‘shared parking areas’. These are recognisable by their green edging, signs with vehicle symbols and markings on the ground.

A service fee of at least 20 euros applies if a bike is returned outside an official MyRadl location.

It does not matter whether the bike was originally rented outside a location. The service fee paid by previous users does not cover the misconduct of subsequent users.

Perfect for visibility and corporate mobility management: Companies can join the bike-sharing program and make a financial contribution. Participants can have a new MyRadl station set up—for example, right at their company headquarters. Upon request, the station can be named after the company. Please contact the respective county offices. Information about BUSINESSbike is also available at nextbike.net.

Yes, bikes can be reserved via the app for up to 15 minutes.

There are three different types of location markers in the MyRadl system:

  • Physical locations with location markers and bike racks
  • Physical locations with floor markings
  • Virtual locations whose positions are displayed on the map in the app

Bikes must be pushed into the racks at physical locations or parked within the markings. If there is no space, please park the bikes next to the racks so that they do not obstruct anyone. To return the bikes, the frame lock must always be closed.

Whether you’re using an e-bike or a standard bike, you can return it at any MyRadl location. MyRadl locations are always shown in the apps. On site, the locations are marked in various ways, e.g. with floor markings or MyRadl bike racks. At some locations, the mobility point pillars also provide guidance on where the bike-sharing area is located. Please check that you are at a MyRadl location before locking the bike.

You can rent up to four bikes at a time using one customer account. Booked tariffs and special conditions usually only apply to the first bike.

If you return your bike in an unauthorized area, you will be charged a service fee of at least 20 euros.

Is the parking area or the designated bike racks full? No problem! Simply return your bike right next to them and return it as usual – location tracking makes it possible. Please ensure, however, that the bike does not obstruct anyone. Our service team regularly ensures that the bikes are redistributed so that MyRadl locations remain easily accessible.

Whether it’s an e-bike or a classic bike, you can return it at any MyRadl location. MyRadl locations are marked either by signs or road markings on site, or can be viewed as virtual locations in the app.

The rental is automatically ended when you closer the frame lock. Please check in your app to confirm that the return was successful.

As a general rule, the parked bike must not obstruct anyone.
Please note the following: The bike must not be parked or returned:

a) at traffic lights
b) at parking ticket machines or parking meters
c) at road signs
d) on pavements if this reduces the clear passage width to less than 1.50 m
e) in front of, at or on emergency routes and fire brigade access zones
f) if this obscures a third party’s fixed advertising
g) by locking it to fences of private or public buildings and facilities
h) on public transport platforms
i) at public bike racks
If this is not observed, we reserve the right to charge a service fee.

Yes, of course! You can return your MyRadl bike to any MyRadl location – regardless of where you rented it. Even if that was in a different municipality or district. With MyRadl, you have complete flexibility and can rent and return bikes across municipal and district boundaries.

Returning bikes to other nextbike systems, however, is not permitted.

Yes, you can.

Pause your ride in the app and then close the lock (attention: If you close the lock before you pause your ride, the bike will be returned immediately). To continue cycling, end the pause mode in the app and the lock will open automatically.

The rental stays active during the pause and will be charged as usual.

If you return your bike without permission, a service fee of at least 20 Euro will be charged.

Our bikes

You can see the battery level on the display on the battery. The range of a fully charged battery is between 70 – 100 km, but depends heavily on the riding style and the terrain.

At MyRadl, you can choose from classic bikes and e-bikes (pedelecs, commonly referred to as e-bikes). An e-bike is a bike with electric assistance that helps you as you pedal – it’s like cycling with a tailwind. Our service team regularly replaces and charges the e-bike batteries. Use the filter in the app to see which bikes are available at each MyRadl location.

The maximum load capacity is 100 kg.
